It was a dream of Late. Dr. V. G. Bhide to have excellent facilities for the children near Pune and around Pune.

The dream has come true in the form of Muktangan Exploratory.

Today , on 2nd October 2006, Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar (F.R.S. Director General C.S.I.R. and Secretory to Govt. of India) has inaugurated Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan' Pune Kendra, Muktangan Exploratory Science Centre.
